Wedding Scrapbook Gift

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share with you a very easy-to-make and super-sentimental gift you could give to your friend/ sibling/ family member who you are a bridesmaid or maid of honour for… a post-wedding scrapbook!

It took me a longer time to make than I had intended to, but it’s super fun, very simple and you can do it all while watching your favourite Youtube videos.

What you’ll need:
– Scrapbook
– Scrapbook paper
– Markers and various coloured pens
– Printed photos (Costco Photo Centre is awesome for this)
– Stickers and embellishments
– Scissors
– Double-sided tape
– Washi tape

I’m really happy with how it turned out, so I’ll guide you along o the details.

Try to incorporate the recipient’s favourite colour. Here I have some green hearts sprinkled everywhere (that’s my sister’s favourite colour). This was the first page:

At her bridal shower, I tried to get as many people to write a personal note as much as I could:

I had set up a hanging floral photo wall with mini messages written by guests and tucked into miniature bottles. The theme was “Japanese Cherry Blossom Garden” and if you look closely, you can see us donning our colourful kimonos!

We also had a photo booth set up in a separate room with your typical party props! More personal messages to accompany the photos.

A custom designed “Snoopy cake” – the bride’s favourite character! I find that adding letter stickers to the pages really fun and makes a bigger impact than a standalone sticker. you can pick these up from Dollarama.

We asked guests to bring a picture of their favourite memory with the bride. So you can see some back-in-the-pictures mixed in with newer ones. Try to arrange the photos diagonally. overlapping one another – make it fun and add a bit of dimension to the page!

I had the idea in my head for a long time to get a “Snoopy” plush couple for my sister… I was even going to sew clothes for them if they didn’t come with it. Lucky for us. my cousin spotted a store in Pacific Mall and we probably bought the only one in existence. Alibaba doesn’t even have it! And even if they make new ones now, the quality will never be the same. It was meant to be and we presented it to her with a mischievous grin – we knew she would love it so much! Pick special, fun and unique moments like this to put into the scrapbook, I guarantee the receiver will smile every time they come across it!

Let them know how important they are to you with a personalized message – or better yet – put your maid of honour speech into the scrapbook, which is what I did below. She might have had a hard time catching your words on the wedding night!

Include more pictures of her favourite people in the scrapbook! It’s okay to play favourites – she’ll be the only one looking through the scrapbook anyway. 🙂

A special photo page near the end dedicated to the bridesmaids, bridal party and the wedding guests! The “Wedding Promises” were part of the door games where we got the groom recite and sign off (as per agreement) on all the promises he’s made to his new wife!

And finally, a page for the newlyweds and wishing them all the love and happiness in the world with their new lives as husband and wife. <3

And there you have it. Happy scrap-booking! It doesn’t have to be perfect or make total sense from the get-go – just have fun with it and it’ll come together organically as you piece it together! 🙂
