The Fifth Inc. Wedding Open House

When I stepped foot into The Fifth, I immediately fell in love with it. There was just something special about it. I felt relaxed in the intimate setting and there was a certain inviting feel about it drawing me in. The Fifth is comprised of 6 various unique spaces within 1 large venue.

Within The Fifth Social Club, Rodney’s Oysters was serving up a choice from the east and one from the west. I can never say no to oysters. This should be at every wedding!

The Fifth Social Club can be used as a ceremony space for 120 (theatre style seating), a seated dinner for up to 160 and a cocktail reception for up to 800. The space is very versatile and its feel changes from a light-filled loft during the day to an exciting nightclub in the evenings. I love how the space can be radically transformed, with one’s choices in furniture through to the ceiling decor, to suit each couple’s personality.

Cabin Five has a totally different feel – a rustic Canadian dance bar – if you will. Perfect for smaller events such as a stag/stagette or birthday party, its fun vibe is felt and seen throughout the space. For an intimate wedding, the space can accommodate a ceremony for 50 and for a cocktail reception for up to 130.

Onto one my two favourite spaces – the Fifth Grill Dining Room. I don’t know what about it – but maybe it’s the refined, old-world charm, of the elegant and timeless space that had me pause and just take it all in. I know when I love a space, and although it might look very simply furnished in the below photo… the feeling when I stepped into the room paints a different story. I felt like I stepped back into a time of sophistication and when fine dining was the norm. For a ceremony, the room can accommodate 100 (theatre style seating), a seated dinner for up to 110 and a cocktail reception for up to 140.

You really have to go there to see it for yourself. These pictures don’t do the space justice!

From the Dining Room, it leads to an outdoor patio space. Great for lounging, having a few drinks, cigars, or what have you.

Each space offered its own appetizer and libation pairing, which made the experience of the wedding open house a very fun one. This room in particular offered a made-to-order crepe station. Wine and sweets by Gouter were also served.

This brings me to the other favourite space – this is The Fifth Terrace. I love outdoor bars for a warm summer day – especially one that comes with a skyline view. The space can accommodate a ceremony for 60 (theatre style seating), seated dinner for up to 65 and a cocktail reception for up to 110.

The Fifth Inc.’s various event spaces should not be overlooked for a couple who is planning an intimate wedding for around 100 guests, and are looking for a relaxed, timeless feel, for their wedding day. Each space is unique and can cater to a wide range of styles. We are absolutely in love with this venue and would love to plan your wedding or next event here.
