Elena and Charles – Married!

Elena and Charles were a super fun couple to work with. Off that bat, you could tell that family and friends were at the top of their priority list, and they wanted to make sure that everyone had a great time. All the bride’s sisters were part of her bridal party, both her brothers wanted to make a speech during dinner, the groom’s family and close friends from the Philippines put together an amazing surprise video, and and the couple’s 2 sons were a huge part of the wedding as well. Not only were they part of the ceremony, but they were also part of their first dance – there was not a single dull moment – and the entire day was filled with more love than any wedding I had the pleasure of coordinating. Everyone still talks about their wedding and how much fun they all had – which is the way it should be!

The morning started off with the “Getting Ready” at both the groom and bride’s locations. A special mom and son moment, the bridesmaids taking their shots, and a heartwarming “First Look” with the bride and her dad, before walking down the aisle. As planners, we made sure to check up on the bridal party and pinned all the boutonnieres for the groom and the groomsmen. What you see below is a staged shot, which is often the case for the sake of wedding photos!

The evening of the Rehearsal, my assistant and I made sure to have everything ready and laid out so that the next morning we could just grab-and-go and start setting up all the little details for our couple. Prepping the DIY centrepieces, setting out the votives and menus on each table, putting together their sweet tables and ensuring the ceremony floral and that the cake table was properly set – while making sure that everything went on schedule – were just a few of the things we managed throughout the day.

The ceremony, officiated by Andrew Rutledge of Enduring Promises was beautiful. We made sure that everyone was lined up and ready to go. The little ones were adorable to say the least. The wedding theme was “Black and White Sophistication”, with a touch of bling. The ring bearer (the couple’s 3 year old son) and the flower girl carried it out wonderfully! And before you know it, the couple is happily married!

Following the ceremony, we shuttled the couple and family onto a clean and reliable passenger bus provided by Prestige Limousine Services to the photo site, Fifty Point Conservation Area for their portrait session.  The flowers really popped – the bridesmaids put together their own bouquets, while the bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages and large ceremony arrangements were made by Lina Arango Floral Design Inc. The bridal party were a fun bunch – can you tell? 🙂

After a lively Cocktail hour and an entertaining Grand Entrance, the couple went straight into their First Dance. There were many heartwarming (and hilarious!) speeches throughout evening, table-toasting, cake-cutting, Parent Dances, and even a dance between the bride and her grandfather – which was a special moment to witness. With an open bar and DJ/MC Nilo of Cherish Entertainment who has crazy upbeat and endless energy, the night went into full swing after dinner – with the bouquet toss, garter toss, a photo booth and a full dance floor where which went late into the night. What can I say, I love my party-loving couples 🙂

Casablanca Winery Inn & Spa was the perfect venue to have their wedding as they were hosting guests from across the border the as well – and they were looking for something different than the typical banquet hall. The staff at Casablanca Winery were above and beyond, and very accommodating and hospitable – from the rehearsal through to the reception. The venue is filled with  many beautiful features, that only a professional photographer would notice for unique photo ops. One of my favourite photos of the couple is where they are standing on the grand staircase. Check these photos out, captured by the fun-loving duo of Mortuza Janssen Photography. They really nailed the couple’s photo session. I love the timeless romance I feel from these images.

We had an amazing time at our first out-of-town wedding in Grimsby, Ontario and were honoured to be chosen as their Wedding Day Coordinator. There were a lot of little details such as pulling off the surprise for the groom (with a last-minute re-edited video), cleaning out the candy jars to make sure they were clean for the treats that were going in them, snipping floral and refilling jugs of water for the centrepieces… and a lot more behind-the-scenes action tasks that we took care of to make sure our couple and their loved ones had an amazing, worry-free, fun time – which they absolutely did!

Our warmest wishes to our lovely couple, Elena and Charles, for a most happily ever after. You guys were awesome to work with and just amazing people to be around which truly made us want to go the extra mile for you. Thank you for entrusting your big day with us and we couldn’t be more happier to be part of your wedding day!

XO,
Cindy Li
